Asking for Mother, Female, 56 years old, Rawalpindi
My Mother had total abdominal hysterectomy with a bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy (TAH + BSO) last month. She is facing Low Blood Pressure from last 3 days. It is important to mention that she has been taking cardamom, zeera, and similar things to neutralize the affects of high doses of medicines.
Moreover, it is also important to mention, that she sweated a lot in last two weeks due to weather and lying on the bed for whole long day.
Now her BP is averaging around 110/60. Is it only due to dehydration and food she has been taking. Or do we need to start some Medicine for Low BP as well.??
How much fluid is she consuming daily? Could you also share the medicines she is on currently? Does she feel dizzy etc?
This is not very low BP.
Try 1Litr ORS to be finished in next one hour and then recheck BP
Bp is normal
she is perfectly fine
use more water
do some walk
repeat CBC and lipid profile within a week,
we can't start medicine for this blood pressure.
Any previous history of co morbidities? Please do check for her Hb and BSR. Do go for ECG. I think she's having some adverse effects of Medicines she is currently taking off and on. Stop zeera and cardamom outright. Adopt healthy lifestyle doing regular exercise and increase intake of fruits and vegetables.
This could be normal.
Maintenance of dehydration is very important in this case.
Ors 1 liter. Daily.
Hello. this BP isn't very low.. it can be managed with good hydration and ORS.. give her 1 litre ORS daily..
For proper guidance book an appointment with me through marham...
The situation that you are telling it is important that he takes adequate salt intake. Also you need to have physical examination with endocrinologist so that maybe there is if any hormonal decline or rise it can be managed.
it is only because of diet and dehydaration, give ORS,lot of fresh juices and good diet, ask her to mobilize
only need to maintain good hydration. Ask her to take ORS if she feels too sweaty or weak. Take healthy diet
The BP seems fine. Please keep her well hydrated and encourage to move about a little since it has been a month to her surgery.
Blood pressure is normal. As she is sweating a lot it is advisable to give her ORS. Add a sachet of ORS in 1 litre of water and give her. She may drink as much as she feels like but if any is left over discard it and make new the next day. Also encourage mobilisation.
blood pressure is absolutely fine
no need to do anything
take balanced healthy diet
take healthy balance diet
add ensure in her diet
for many women, bp of 110/60 is quite normal...there is no need to treat it..if pt is not having any symptoms..however if she feels dizziness, headache or feels tired , then we may need to start her treatment for low bp...
start high c sachet ( calcium + vit C)
1 sachet daily for 1 month...
encourage ors intake..
syp . ginko biloba 1 teaspoon daily.

Does she feel lightheaded, palpitations, weakness or fatigue? Just want to know that if she’s anemic or not.
