Asking for Self, Female, 70 years old, Lahore
My mom is 70 years. Diabetic for last 18 years. Had an angioplasty in 2018 and now taking insulin. Her other vitals are fine but recently her NT-Pro BNP value is 192pg/ml. Kindly guide in terms of treatment.
Assalamualaikum. Please send more reports and previous dr prescriptions on my whatsapp: Zero three one five five zero five five zero zero two. Wassalam.
Her BNP is slightly elevated. That could suggest worsening of heart function and initial stages of heart failure. You need to pay a visit to your cardiologist for further assessment.
please advised lipid profile&RFT&Blood suger fasting &Random.sending old reports
According to her age her NT proBNP is slightly on a higher side , it should be less than 125. I am not sure what medicines she has been taking , high level of NT proBNP signifies heart failure. It will be more appropriate if you kindly send me the medicines she has been taking beside insulin
Could you go for her ecg and echo along with all Baseline and kindly share her previous labs and prescriptions
it seems heart failure, u need to visit again to ur mother's cardiologist who prescribed u medicine so that he could change or replace medicines according to ur mother's current condition.
Additionally ECG is needed, also CBS.
do an echocardiography. and share her medication along with her recent HBA1C
A normal level of NT-proBNP, based on Cleveland Clinic's Reference Range is: Less than 125 pg/mL for patients aged 0-74 years.
reducing your use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) for pain. treating conditions like high blood pressure and diabetes. taking medication for heart failure such as angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors or beta-blockers. taking diuretics to help you pass more fluid out of your body.
