person-avatar

Asking for Self, Male, 28 years old, Karachi

Assalam, Some weeks ago, I posted my query about back pain and leg pain.. I did some self tests like vitamin D and lumbo sacral xray.. Vitamin D was low and xray reports seems fine but I am attaching the results.. After taking vitamin D supplements, the pain is almost gone and some times I feek it but If I hold my self too long in the same position.. Pain is almost gone but still there.. Can you please check results and recommend what to do..

General Practitioner in Lahore - Dr. Ahmad Raza Khan

Your pain has nothing to do with vitamin D result. It is most probably due to spasm of back muscles. I will advise back exercise/ some infrared physiotherapy/ proper posture & maintaing an ideal weight according to your height. Vitamin D supplement will have more side effects than benefits.

Aa,

Please attach your test results, Vit. D needs to be taken regularly once low and may take time to get back to normal level. It would be good if you will go for rheumotological screening as well to rule out other causes of pain.

Many thanks.

Ws,
Dr. Naveed.
