Asking for Other, Female, 16 years old, Karachi
Assalam o alykum. My daughter is 16 years old.Since last week she has developed mild symptoms of asthma, like cough, wheezing, breathlessness and congestion. All are mild and easily subsides with taking steam, ginger and honey tea. Sometimes when she laughs, then too ,she feels breathlessness. As she is getting temporary relief through these home treatments, it seems she is probably needing proper asthma treatment.Triggers are still not clear as even tangerine made her uneasy.Nevertheless she sneezes a lot in dusty environment..Please suggest.Thankyou.
better to see pulmonoloist for proper diagnosis. any hx of allergy to dust, etc. any other family members has hx of asthma?
symptoms you are telling ,are due to allergic asthma .She needs proper treatment otherwise it will worsen with time.Consult a doctor online or physically.

to see whether asthmatic there are some questions like breathlessness on which xercise or playing for how long? or walking for how many minutes or stepping up stairs ? and how many times aday? in aweek in a month?secondly to check lungs we do spirometry to c what is the lung capacity and it's force vital capacity and force expiratory volume in 1second and it's ratio.aftet measuring these we will got to know shez asthmatic or not then is there associated fever ..cough with mucus or runny nose head ache? n covid 19 test?bcz one of it signs is breathlessnes and how it relieves? have u measure oxygen saturation as it can be measured with mobile apps?..after these points we will proceed to treatment to label apt asthmatic is important

Thankyou Dr.Misbah for your sincere detailed reply. We cant suspect Covid as there is no fever, oxygen saturation is 98, slight mucus and non progressing cough. I havent found exactly how exercise is stressing her, but need to surface that sometimes intense laugh heavy her breath for a short while that subsides after taking steam.I will surely take her for proper examinations...Thankyou again.Stay blessed....

please take in-hospital or online appointment for complete management plan.
such symptoms are common due to pollution in Karachi and are easily managed with a proper consult and counselling.
