Talk to General Physician on Stuttering Or Stammering

I have a Stammering issue. now I am 22 years old. it's not by naturally. when I was 7 then I suffered from typhoid fever, Then the problem started. I got a lot of treatment but to no avail so some people say only take medicine to overcover this issue. some people say about a speech therapist what is the best and right way to treat this issue? and how much time will it take? please guide me I'm very worried now When I go to the interview, it is not spoken properly Due to which there is now mental distress
