Asking for Other, Male, 21 years old, Lahore

In the current situation of social distance, what are the precautions between husband and wife. They can share same bed or no? Should they stay six feets away from each other or they can have normal married life.

General Physician in Lahore - Dr. Tayyab Ali

Aslam Alaikum.
There are 2 scenarios
1. If either of them is a confirmed case of COVID or has returned from abroad then it will be wise to keep distance for at least 2 weeks
2. If both are normal and none have COVID, then husband, wife and children do not need distancing precautions. If anyone of them begin to have symptoms then distancing is needed other wise no need.

I guess this involves more of common sense
1/ Covid is global pandemic and there are no consideration for travel history any more
any one who has symptoms either new onset cough fever , headache sore throat shortness of breath recommendation is social distance and isolation x 14 days from day of onset of symptoms .
same lies with people with positive diagnosis
virtually advise is same (for close house hold contacts)
at least this is what is being practiced in UK.
regards
Kashif

Need precautions if one partner is high risk like potential carrier of virus like if he/she is healthcare worker , doctor, nurse or paramedics or similar to this or works at a place where he has to meet more people.

if no such case and no partner goes out daily and don't meet people then they don't need preacation of no partner have any symptoms.
in any suspect , Earrly quarantine is better
In general all preacation are important for male partner before and after going out and coming back before entering living room should take clothes shoes off and Take bath

“Staying 6 feets away from each other” rule is the social distancing protocol with people other than your family members. While staying at home keeping close distance from family members including your spouse is unavoidable. If you and your spouse don’t have any symptoms or likely exposure to COVID 19 cases, normal intimacy and sex is good for staying connected during this potentially stressful time
