its important to have better history.how long you have been bothered by this issue ?
is it persistent or intermittent problem ?
any h/o diarrhoea or constipation.is the pain all the time or it only hurts while passing stools?
any trace of blood in stools
can you compress the swelling and reduce it?
any fever ?
is the swelling very hot warm ?
generally ether are 2 types of swelling around that area
1 piles common usually can be compressed and reduced in most cases .some time blood in stools
assess cause significant swelling which is very diffuse warm and painful and usually make you feel unwell.
you can try some topical piles treatment if there is no fever etc to see if helps
