Asking for Husband, Male, 29 years old, lahore

My husband recently attended a religious process and got a minor cut on the ear from the chain with someone else blood on it.

The doctors have recommended us to get HIV, Hepitatis B and C tests done to be on the safe side.

What is the right time to get the tests done after the incident?

Thanks.

Thank you so much for the prompt response. Will they need to be repeated again if everything goes well, insha Allah?

Your husband should do HIV test first test is ELISA test if God forbid it comes positive then go for Western Blot test for confirmation of HIV.Need to do tests for Hepatitis B (3 screening tests 1. hepatitis B surface antigen test
2.hepatitis B core antibody test, 3.hepatitis B surface antibody test) and tests for hepatitis C is Anti-HCV test okay.please do these tests as soon as possible ok.inshaAllah all tests would be negative or normal

Thank you so much Doctor Kamran for the detailed information. So is it okay if we get the tests done together in 3 weeks' time for Hep B, C, and HIV?

You mean there is no incubation period for the tests to be conducted after coming in contact with the blood?
