Talk to General Physician on High Blood Pressure
Asking for Mother, Female, 55 years old, Karachi
My mother's blood pressure is constantly above 160 (systolic).
Past:
Her BP was constantly above 175/95 in late January because of high pressure of work (wedding event). Fortunately all tests at Tabba hospital were clear in Feb 2020.
She was then taking concor 2.5 mg and ascard 75 mg in morning, sofvasc 10 mg in the evening. Her BP remained high.
She is taking Lamoretic 20/12.5 at 10 am and ascard 75mg since 2 weeks. Lamoretic resulted in diastolic: less than 80, but systolic is still above 160 Occasionally she gets both high.
Please help.
She is also diabetic, and her cholesterol was high last year. She takes lasix in morning if she find swelling on feets
pl post her latest lab results for further details

I have another concern. I just read that ACE inhibitors cause cough and my mother is having cough for the past 8-10 days. Is there any connection or remedy?
She catches cough mostly after using sour food items and gets fever every summer (that increases at night and decreases to 99.6 in daytime). Right now she is having 99.6° temperature as well.
