Talk to General Physician on Health Anxiety
Asking for Sister, Female, 18 years old, Islamabad
For past 3 months, my sister is feeling continuous chest and back pain with the pain in left arm. She also feels increase in heart rate at sometimes. We have been to every doctor and till now, no one is able to find the cause. One doctor has said that he has 'health Anxiety' and given anti depressants. I want to ask if health anxiety can cause actual pain ?? Because we can clearly see that she feels the actual pain and it all started after the death of our mother.

Yes anxiety have somatic as well as psychological symptoms
In somatic symptoms patients feel
Dizziness
Breathlessness
Vertigo
GI problems
Pain in any part
Muscle spams
Palpitations
Sweating etc
If all lab investigation and examination find no organic cause then it will probably anxiety.
You should continue that treatment as prescribed by your doctor.

GRIEF REACTION could be a possibility attributed to the death of loved one
which could actually cause not only severe pain but also vasovagal collapse.
However , first we've to rule out all medical reasons .
