Talk to General Physician on Dry Cough Fits Not Ending
Asking For Self, Male 29, Rawalpindi
Hi, I have a dry cough fits (normally 1-2 times in a day) that can last for 30-40 mins and then go away.
Also, when I get these cough fits I can hear this weird sound im my chest while breathing.
Duration: 3-4 weeks
I have tried 4 different cough syrups: 1. Some OTC syrup 2. Dr Koff 3. Ivy Leaf something 4. Inventive (about 25% left)
Last one perhaps helped some but it's not going completely and it's really becoming an inconvenience abd exhausting.
What should I do about it?
Pls advise.

Thank you for your response doctor. It just started recently. I would say 3 weeks at max.

No, thankfully not. Just coughing a lot and then it goes away it self. But during that time I can also hear sounds while breathing in my chest.

Per my consultation with others, they said these are called "coughing fits" as they happen intensely after intervals. So, should I go by your advise in original post?

Hu Doctor, I nebulized for 2-3 days with small solution bottle and also finished Acefyl syrup. I was fine while I was doing that. But now the cough is back, again. Can you please advise?

This sound is called wheeze this is due to the asthma... U r having cough variant asthma for which u need a course of medication including cough syrup and some tablets... Its better that u contact me online.
