Talk to General Physician on Dengue Fever
Asking For Husband, Male 34, lahore
he has dengue fever and now he has bleeding from teeth. What should I do in this condition.

urgently get him admitted to nearby hospital. he will need IV hydration as his hct is on higher side for dengue fever and daily cbc twice to monitor hct and plat leveles. his plat is also in lower range. give him folic acid 5 mg once a day. avoid toothbrush, combing and any activity which can cause bleeding. bedrest. only panadol for fever , no other medicines.
you should immediately come to Dendue counter for your complete in any emergency ward of any hospital please do not delay your examination

He needs to be under observation in hospital for any untoward bleeding.He needs twice daily blood tests and Vital signs monitoring.Keep him well hydrated by oral fluids if BP is normal.IV fluids if required are to be given judiciously.
