Asking For Self, Male 23, Islamabad
I've been experiencing symptoms (Abdominal Pain, Bloating, Excessive gas, Mucus in Stool and stool frequency of more than 8 times a day). My Gastroenterologist advised Endoscopy with d2 biopsy, which revealed Mild Chronic Duodenitis. After that Doctor treated me for Celiac Disease first then Presumed Tropical Sprue and then IBS-D, but there's no improvement at all. Now he has advised Colonoscopy. What should be done in this case. Is this the right way for getting diagnosed? Age: 23 years, Lab Reports including Thyroid Profile are absolutely ok. No other medical history.

It has been a year now. Doctor treated me with Rifixa, Spasler neo, sulvorid, Bismol and rabecid for one month with Gluten free diet and then switched to Oxytetracycline, Folic Acid and Rabecid for treating Tropical Sprue for a 21 days course. Then he changed the medicines to Ib calm, Bactocell, CItanew and Rabecid for a month for treating IBS-D. But there's still no improvement that's why he has advised Colonoscopy now.
