person-avatar

Asking for Self, Male, 29 years old, Lahore

Hello,

I am 29 and need your assistance

Back in 2008 I have diagnosed keratoconus and got CXL of the Right eye (Dr. Wajid Ali Alshifa eye trust pindi) In 2013 I have got keratoplasty, Cornea transplant. (Alshifa eye trust pindi)

By 2015 my vision was not significantly improved Then, Dr. told that Transplant is getting cloudy although the graft is ok and there is no tissue rejection etc.

Since it is 5 years post-op, my vision is as it is as it was before

Regular check-ups are on since 2013 at Alshifa Pindi And from 2016 I am visiting Dr. Intezar Butt Lhr

Both the dr said it is out of control and there is no solution this cloudyness Except re transplant (for which chances of rejection of tissue are high up to a great extent

Using eyewear of -4 having lot of strees.

Please suggest me is there any new development in this disease or any remedy.

Thanks

Bilal Riaz 0334 4151958

The best solution is to get appointment from corneal specialist.
Getting another transplant do not necessarily mean that it will fail too. I fact it might be a good solution to your issue

Thank you, Ma'am, for your time,
I have read many reviews about you that inclined me to have an appointment with you but in your profile, Cornea Transplant or Corneal issues are not mentioned.

I this case my visit will be fruitful or else can you please suggest any specialist
Further to this do I need to have any test prior to visiting like topography or ORB etc for a better understanding of yours

Thank you again

Hello dear, a detailed examination and review of the history is needed to determine the management plan. Kindly visit an ophthalmologist.

hello
rejection chances on 2nd transplant are high if 1st is rejected
but as you told 1st was not rejected but failed so i think you can go for it but 1st get an examination from corneal transplant surgeon
