Asking For Father, Male 65, Lahore
A.a, i have attached my father's OCT reports for right eye. He has lost almost all vision in his left eye due to retinal hemorrhagic detachment about 3 months ago. My father also has cataract problem in his both eyes. Now, gradually his eye sight of right eye is also getting weaker, he used to wear 3.5 number glasses 3 months back but now he cant see properly with even glasses on. he has consulted doctor for lens change in his right eye due to cataract. Doc advised to get OCT for right eye and after getting results, he has told that the condition of right eye is getting same as of left one, retina of right eye has been tilted and he did not advice to change lens as according to him, pressure might damage the retina. He only gave him grid and told him to inform if he sees distorted lines on it... Can any doctor please suggest, if there is anything he can do to improve his vision of right eye or to prevent the condition from getting worse or same like left eye... Can he get his lens ch
This seems Like a case of choroid neovascularization. My dear u need to get an OCT angiography done plus consult a surgeon. There should be series of intravitreal injections needed for this plus supportive treatment. If u are in Lahore consult mayo hospital dr zahid Kamal he will guide u
W.A I have seen your OCT report of right eye, according to Oct there have retinal changing as tilting of fundus, if your father have suger or BP you have to control it, if you want to increase his vision you must go to Low vision dept. Al shifa eye trust, known as Light House, catract surgery is not good decision. Don't leave him alone
