Talk to Ent Specialist on Oral Submucous Fibrosis
Asking for Self, Male, 26 years old, Karachi
I can put 3 fingers in my mouth. I have some zakham at my inside jaws. There is whiteness in my mouth. I visited to BDS he said i am suffering from submucous Fibrosis. Now i have stop eaten areca and betal nut. I sm taking sangobian and Vidaylin T tablet daily. After lefting chaliya, the disease is still progressive or it may stop?. Also i want a right doctor for this disease kindly guide me where to visit in Karachi? I am still confused where to go either to Ent or to dentist ?

I have read some articles on oral submucous Fibrosis. Most of the researchers are Maxillofacial surgeon. Is it ok to consult Maxillofacial surgeon or to go for an ENT doctors ?

oral cavity issues are mostly dealt by ent surgeon except dental issues..but u can consult maxillofacial surgeon as smf is a general problem that needs proper education of patient that can be done by them also..coming towards your issue your smf is noted early and you have done rt by quitting paan..u need to do mouth opening exercises and hava a balance diet and add a multivitamin tablet "tb theragran ultra" once daily for 2 months..
