Asking for Self, Female, 31 years old, Australia

Aslamoalikum, I have been diagnosed with lupus in 2018, the reason I went to my doctor was, I started planning for first baby and taking medicine which contains harmones , I was on metformin, provera and letrozole, I also was on vitamin d folic acid and suddenly my joints started to hurt and cracking sounds started coming from them, and soon I was unable to even walk because my joints get stuck when I move, walk or bend.I visited Rhumatologist, he diagnosed lupus. Since that time I haven’t taken any harmones related medication and dr put me on plaquenil and I am recovered a bit. I have also diagnosed with PCOS and have been on treatment for that as well. I have noticed that whenever I take any harmones my body reacts very strange like mentioned before. Can you please suggest something why is my immune system behaving strangely whenever I take harmones. I want to get pregnant. Its been 4 years to my marriage. I am afraid that if I start the treatment again what would happen?

My query is that when I start any medication for which includes contraceptives, or I start planning for pregnancy and because of PCOS i have to take medication such as letrozole etc, my SLE flares up and I end up having something new such as inflammation in my joints. Please suggest me something accordingly. Thank you

Hi
Good day
What you are taking for your SLE ?
Any steroids ? Or any other medication. You may need to increase your medication. Better is to consult your rheumatologist there or make appointment here.
