My husband has kind of red skin patches on his legs and these have bad itching..what could be the possible reason? Picture is attached

you need to book appointment with a good reliable dermatologist. after detailed history and looking at remaining skin, he may need skin biopsy too.

The rash appeared first on it's own and itching started with it ? OR
Itching started on a normal looking skin and the red patch appeared later ?
For how long this problem has been going on and similar your of rash anywhere on the body ?

Thank you for the response Sir..First it was ichy then turned in to little bumps now it’s like a pach of red colored skin,its only on the legs,before it happened 3 years back and he used a cream..Mupirocin cream,1st time it happened it was a very small patch and now its really big..

Tab. Claritine 10mg once or twice daily.
Fluocinolone ointment be applied on it twice daily until the rash disappears and after that white petroleum jelly to keep the area moist.
I don't know how you will get the ointment in US
