Itch get worse when i scratch or even apply pressure. sometimes some areas get swell(not blisters), for example half of the finger gets fat. it is not the swelling like mosquito bite, its like that someone has injected water. it is in both hands and now i am even getting pain till arm. but itching is localized till palm and fingers. it gets worse when i scratch so much that i feel like to cut my hands. I consulted with skin doctor but he was unable to diagnose but started treatment. with kestine tablet and synalar cream and steriod depo medrol injection. But its of no use. Please help

Thank you.
How long have you had this condition, do you also have pain in joints of fingers and feet?? Anything else on skin, knees elbows, scalp, nails? I will need clear pictures of your skin and both hands and feet. After that might advice you some blood tests accordingly. Also stop applying all steroids and cream, we will need to get a fungal scraping done after a week of stopping everything. In the meantime keep your hands dry, apply 'physiogel Ai calming relief cream' on hands and feet twice daily. And continue tablet kestine at night.make sure your nails are short, and maintain good hygiene. Keep feet dry too.
You might be having either of Eczema , Urticaria or EM etc . We need detailed history n examination followed by some investigation to have proper diagnosis. Better to consult some good dermatologist in your city
Dear Pt,
I hope you are well. It s imp to examine and run few tests,
i doubt that it would be fungal...
indeed eczema, Urticaria or Erythema multiforme.
regards
Don't apply any creams on the site for now. It could be eczema or urticaria. Consult a good dermatologist.
