Talk to Dermatologist on Severe Hairfall And Dandruff
Asking for Self, Female, 29 years old, Rawalpindi
I have severe hairfall and scales and dandruff. Hairfall issue got better during pregnancy but now it has become worse after delivery. Feels like half of the volume of my hairs has reduced in around 4 months. Please suggest good supplements or shampoo etc

Dear Pt, you require proper consult either online or if u can visit his Marham. Hair issue is complex in woman with several factors, hormonal imbalances associated to it. So simply investing in supplements and shampoos won't help. its imp to run few tests aswell so once we have a DIAGNOSIS we treat accordingly.... hope this make u understand that only shampoos arnt solution neither do a miracle:) Regards

hair fall is common in or after pregnancy but scaling is not . so u should see a dermatologist . only shampoo not much helpful .

It seems that you did not took proper suppliments during pregnancy and after delivery. It's common for the hair to get better during pregnancy and losing them after delivery.
Since you also complained of dandruff and scaling, this means you also have fungal/yeast infection of the hair follicle. This left untreated will result in permanent damage to the affected hair follicles.
You must start your multivitamin tablets and iron tablets. I also want you to eat ample quantities of red meat like mutton or beef, eggs and ¼ teaspoon of sesame seeds.
For e treatment of fungal infection please consult a qualified Dermatologist in your city who has experience in treating scalp conditions.
