eczema on hands, itchy and skin getting hard day by day, I try to moisturize using vaseline petroleum jelly, but still face the same especially at night timings, I have a night shift job and get free at 3 AM, please advise something

asalamwalaikum. kindly protect your hands with solvents ,surf,chemicals and wear simple paper gloves during work and not more than 30 minutes and apply sudocrem 3 times or when you feel dryness thanks

without seeing it is difficult to tell but till u see a dermatologist apply clobevate ointment thrice a day. use dove soap for washing hands.

I always use lotion to moisturize after washing my hands, and I use Beauty soaps only i.e capri, palmoliove

Are you using gloves at the job and those are latex. Please try avoid latex gloves. Do not use too much hand soap and wash with too hot water. Then apply moisturizer. If you not feel better consult dermatologist.

Eczema needs maintenance therapy...its good u moisturise ur skin frequently.... but for itching u need to apply steroids diluted in vaseline. Apply betval ointment and petroleum jelly in 50:50 proportions on hands at bedtime ( for u it wud b around 4 am approx) do it for 2 weeks then reduse the frequency to alternate days then twice weekly
