Talk to Dermatologist on Black Spot On Toe Nail

person-avatar

Asking for Self, Female, 29 years old, Karachi

I have noticed a black spot on toe nail 2-3 weeks back..it is not spreading and of same size since..I have already booked an appointment with dermatologist (23 june).. I am a bit scared after googling the causes (melanoma). Should I go for another dermatologist with an early appointment or a test to rule out melanoma? PS. I am unable to attach pic

Yes you should. Though it is most likely going to be subungual hematoma (bleeding under nail plate). You may have unconsciously bump into something. People usually can’t recall. It will take sometime to disappear.

There is no test to rule out melanoma. Melanoma is race in our race. Where
do you live as your appointment date is so far?

I’m a Cabin Crew. Due to flying, dehydration, irregular sleeping & eating pattern; I’ve developed severe itchy & dry scalp which has resulted in dandruff, which is causing hair fall as well. I’ve used many expensive Shampoos, Oils etc to cure, but haven’t got any noteworthy success. I do dye my hairs as well, almost after 8,9 weeks. Strongly looking forward to have some helpful advice from you. Regards
