Asking for Other, Male, 1.5 years old, Karachi
Hi. My baby is 1.5yr okd and has erupted 8 teeth including front upper and lower line. I need to ask the specialist that should I use toothpaste and toothbrush for my baby?! If yes then which one is good for babies and can be easily available in Karachi?? Thanks.
Pigeon toothbrushes for babies are available easily in Karachi, you can use those, no need for a tooth paste only brushing is sufficient at this stage, once all teeth have erupted u can use abc toothpaste
hey.... use. secure junior tooth paste
hey use secure junior for your kid
Hello, Dr Shahzad Hussain here,
Yes definitely you should start with tooth paste and brush for your child, for tooth paste, you should start PROTECT ABC and for brush yoi can have any brand's brush with soft consistency, or if your child becomes irriatble with brush, you can go with your finger in the beginning for cleaning the teeth.
Thanks
Assalam o alaikum . Please remember . As soon as the first tooth emerges into the oral cavity the parents should start brushing the tooth. Yes start brushing the teeth for your baby. A child of 1.5 years need a special brush which the parent can put on his or her finger and gently brush the teeth twice a day . All the well known medicine outlets should have these finger brush for babies available or I can personally courier it to you . ( charges applicable )
😀 abc protect
😀 soft bristle tooth brush with small head
😀dont use tooth paste with fluoride in it until child z 6 years.
😀 brush b4 sleep in nite.
happy tooth brushing journey for life to kid.
*My concern is, are you well sure that your kid is 1.5yr old? And if proven academically, this case should be referred for publication.
*In such young individuals, its better not to use any kind of tooth paste in so young kids. Use some coarse cloth wrapped around your finger to clean the teeth.
Dear concerned parent
I would say brushing or no brushing
purpose is to ensure teeth cleaning
whichever method u find suitable n ur child cooperates at .... adapt that
soft bristle brush in ur supervision if not than simply damp cotton or tissue after eating sweets specially
food should not b left at tooth
if nothing is possible simple let your baby drink plain water at least after sweets /food specially at nite to prevent any food residue left on tooth which can lead to caries n damage
Abc or junior tooth paste are good and you should clear fully monitor your kid during brushing
Any fluoride containing toothpaste can be used, but keep the amount of the paste to as minimum as the size of a peeled off single peanut.
Tooth paste does not matter but toothpastes like abc are easily available everywhere.. what matters is how you clean the teeth.. brush then twice a day after breakfast and before going to bed.. if the kid takes bottle at night give a sip of water after that even asleep
