Asking for Self, Female, 21 years old, karachi
I had a sensitive tooth in my upper jaw and i recently got a bonding/filling to make it less sensitive. The doctor made me examine it after bonding by making me sip water and it wasn't as sensitive as it was. I just wanted to ask is it normal for little sensitivity to still occur? and for how long will it be a little sensitive? secondly what can i do to take care of it?
there could be multiple reasons for sensitivity. kindly visit any nearest dentist for proper diagnosis and treatment
you can use sensitivity toothpaste as a cream on it for a week at nights. I have done many fillings and sensitivity decreased after this remedy

Thankyou so much. I am using sensodyne and it reduces it a lot. I had a hole in my tooth because of which it happened. I also wanted to ask if you wont mind If the tooth is normal apart from sensitivity that also lasts only 2-3 seconds and doesn't hurt is a root canal needed?

Did the Dr recommend scaling for your sensitivity? Also, use Sensodyne for 1 month.
Depends on your condition.. And when did you get your last scaling done. Scaling is recommended every 6 months to one year.
