Asking for Self, Female, 21 years old, karachi
Assalam o Alaikum, I am 21 years old. Last year I started to feel extreme Sensitivity to cold and hot beverages however no other pain or discomfort was noted. The sensitivity lasted for about 10 seconds max. Hence i later on visited a Dentist, He filled my tooth, but again my tooth got sensitive but was okay with the use of sensodyne. Later i went to another dentist and he told me that the filling is not proper and hence, he did the filling again. Now, My concern is that the sensitivity still lasts for 10 seconds, however i have no pain and i can eat from that side too. I don't want to go for root canal hence extraction is another option but i cannot get it done since the tooth is in upper jaw and visible while i smile, After i get it extracted what are the options i have to close or cover the gap apart from braces or dental implant that wouldn't cost me much. Looking forward for a positive response.
A good bridge can be fruitful for u but u need better to go for RCT . If any hep visit my clinic

I don't want to opt for a root canal since my parents are not convinced with the idea. However is Bridge the most economical idea? I've heard it affects the neighboring teeth

waalikum as salaam, please get an xray done and consult a good dentist if there is enough sound tooth structure a refilling maybe possible it all depends upon how deep the cavity is also crowning will further decrease sensitivity.
go for rct
Go for PFM bridge
best option and Pocket friendly too

The ideal way is to get a root canal down and then cap that tooth If needed. Extraction is never advised if the tooth can be saved. If extraction is necessary then replacement options are implants or bridge. You can get an online or in clinic consultation for further discussion. Regards
you dont need root canal there are many other treatments for your case
w. salam .
before any further treatment get an X-ray done of that tooth . that would clear all the misconceptions. also it will be easier for any clinician to guide you .
and if you have any x ray . please share
please get a second opinion by visiting physically . your problem might get solved by covering that area which is sensitive . after clinical and radiographic examination you will be in a better position to decide
The Sensitivity lasting 10 seconds is not an indication to do a root canal treatment. It might be you need some scaling and polishing.
share xray of that tooth if u have it, other wise get xray done, then can be consulted properly
Its better to get an xray done and see what is the problem
Extracrion is not normally advised until absolutely necessary but if you do want an extraction the economical treatment option will be a bridge! You can visit my clinic and get it evaluated
