Asking for Self, Male, 25 years old, Hyderabad
I have dust allergy for years. I use loratadine and montelukast together whenever there is runny nose and sneezing and it get immediate relief for somedays. Previously it caught when i use to ride bike but due to lockdown i am not moving outside and still get it. Since last week these tablets bring temporary relief and every morning when i wake up flu is there and feeling itching in nose and it feels nose is dry. Please recommend something. Thanks
Risk factor for allergic rhinitis is cigarette smoke, chemicals, cold temperatures, humidity, wind ,airpollution, hairspray, perfumes, colognes and fumes etc
so preventive measure is important
so to reduce dust mite exposure, you can take measures to make sure your home is not a friendly environment for dust mite development. Wet mop hard floors, rather than sweeping. If you have carpet, use a vacuum with a HEPA filter. You will also want to dust hard surfaces often, and wash your bedding weekly in hot water. Use allergen-blocking pillows and cases to decrease dust mite exposure while you’re sleeping.
Continue the medicine you already have and add
Oxycrom nasal spray 2% one spray in each nostril three times a day
For further proper history, management and diagnosis I suggest to take online appointment with doctor during lockdown

Since you are at home mostly and still you are having runny nose, it means there is some other allergen or particle that is causing the problem, most likely something at home. Also there are some lifestyle changes that can be made to control this without medicines. For detailed discussion, kindly book an appointment
blood test.
